  • Working as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Solution Architect, or similar
  • Building effective digital user experiences and applications in complex domains
  • Transactional / process-oriented applications involving complex back-end service integration (experience with travel-related systems would be an advantage)
  • Leveraging online retail best practices in the design and optimisation process
  • Experience co-ordinating requirements or solution design workshops, customer interviews and presentations to senior audiences
  • Experience with procurement processes (e.g. RFIs / RFPs) and 3rd party vendor management would be an advantage

JUNIOR UX DESIGNER, LONDON

Branchspace provides digital services and solutions focussed on the airline and travel industry.

We’re small but ambitious company, and are looking for a talented Junior UX Designer to join our team to help design and evolve clean, engaging web and mobile applications.

This is a permanent (full or part-time) role to help us meet the demands of our client base. As such we want you to help us shape our company’s direction in a meaningful way.

Who we’re looking for

  • Fundamentally you need to be a talented, enthusiastic designer of consumer facing applications
  • You understand the difference between “great UX” and “great visual design”, ideally have worked in both camps, and so understand how to evolve a great idea efficiently from concept to reality.
  • You can sketch, wireframe, design and prototype with relevant tools (Adobe, Axure, etc.),
  • You take pride in your attention to detail, and can turn a high level UX concept into accurate, detailed visual designs
  • Your thinking is influenced first by a desire to understand the customer, the domain and the technology
  • Your work is underpinned by solid understanding of the principles and heuristics of great interface design, consumer psychology and behavioural economics, and sometimes just knowing how, when and why to shamelessly “leverage” other designs
  • Your ideals for perfection and irrefutable research/data are tempered by the constraints of working within small teams and a small company
  • You can demonstrate as much of the above as possible your previous projects

Furthermore, the following is highly desirable:

  • Delivering robust, professional applications for complex domains
  • Working within a variety of agile development teams and processes, and with diverse cultures and locations
  • Creating and delivering customer-facing presentations that need to persuade and impress

More about the role

  • This is a permanent, London-based role. We are willing to discuss part-time arrangements that involve a regular schedule and a core focus on Branchspace
  • Your primary focus will be to support our product development and consulting teams, which involve day-to-day collaboration with our Product Owner and a small development and visual design team
  • You will also support our consulting opportunities and projects, focussed primarily within Europe but with opportunities worldwide
  • There may be a small amount of travel to support these initiatives

  • Branchspace is based at an amazing office location in the heart of London, right next to Moorgate station.
  • We share the building with other tech companies including startups and established brands – its a great atmosphere. Facilities include bike storage, showers, table tennis tables, beer on tap (after 3pm…) and regular tech community events
